Managing Director

Michael Verhulst

Redline Cranes is led by its founder, Michael Verhulst, a highly skilled technician who trained with Franna and developed specialist capabilities in Franna cranes. Michael’s OEM-level knowledge of safety systems, structural integrity, and compliance engineering forms the backbone of Redline’s technical excellence.

Since establishing the business in 2009, Michael has steadily expanded Redline from a small repair operation into a complete in-house crane service provider. With the acquisition of Redline’s Kewdale workshop and the growth of a skilled team—including senior supervisors, qualified technicians, and apprentices—Michael has built a trusted organisation known for quality workmanship, reliability, and deep industry expertise.

Business Development Manager

Simon Bowers

Simon has a strong background across business development, service management, and technical operations within the industrial and heavy equipment sectors. With over six years at Redline Cranes, he has progressed from Service Manager to Business Development Manager, combining hands on mechanical knowledge with commercial growth skills.

Prior to Redline, Simon operated his own blasting business for nine years and held supervisory roles in maintenance, winches, and build operations across well known companies in Perth’s industrial and resources sectors. His experience covers leadership, client management, preventive maintenance, and delivering technical solutions across automotive, engineering, marine, and mining environments.

Service Manager

Royce Newall

Royce brings over 19 years of diverse experience across the automotive and heavy-equipment industries, specialising in high-quality servicing, diagnostics, customer support, training, and technical leadership. His background spans service management, apprentice development, operational planning, and the delivery of major repair programs.

Royce has a proven ability to introduce new technologies, streamline workshop processes, and uphold exceptional quality standards across all service operations.

With deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and extensive experience mentoring technicians, he consistently drives performance improvements, ensures compliance with OEM standards, and builds strong working relationships across all areas of the business.
